FREE Lecture “Cuba and the Struggle for Peace”

June 6 @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Canadian Peace Congress in collaboration with the Movement Quebecois pour la Paix and the Canadian Network on Cuba are proud to announce that a Cuban delegation from the Instituto Cubano de Amistad con los Pueblos ICAP (Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples) including Vice President Victor Gaute and North American Director Leima Martinez will tour Canada on a mission of peace and solidarity from June 4, 2024 to June 16, 2024.
Since January 1, 1959 Cuba and the Cuban Revolution have been a critical force for peace in the Americas and, indeed, world wide. From its inception the Cuban Revolution stood proudly in the service of the oppressed and dispossessed. It stood and continues to stand against imperialist aggression, occupation and war. Imperialism is the greatest enemy of peace and mighty Cuba has resolutely stood as a fortress against all odds in the service of Peace.
The tour will begin in Central Canada with stops in Ottawa: June 4, Montreal: June 5, Kingston: June 6, Niagara: June 7 and Toronto: June 8/9. Following the biannual Canadian Network On Cuba Convention the tour will move west to Vancouver: June 10/11, Vancouver island: June 12, Calgary: June 13, Edmonton: June 14, Regina: June 15 before wrapping up in Winnipeg on June 16, 2024.
