Come join the Rideau Trail Association on a 5km public guided social hike/walk of the Kingston Mills Area!
**rescheduled from Mon May 27: due to the forecast heavy rain and thunderstorms.
We will meet up at the Kingston Mills Locks parking lot at 5:45pm, depart at 6pm. We’ll explore historical grounds of the locks 46-49. First we’ll wander south on the west side of the river, find where many students rock climb the cliff. This portion of the hike will require hiking footwear as you will be navigating a rocky area. We’ll cross the lock where we will check out the waterfall and find where the locals fish. Pass by the Blockhouse, continue our hike on the north side of Kingston Mills Road prior returning to our vehicle.
This will prove to be a lovely evening outing after a days work. Further updates will follow closer to the date, weather update, etc.
